Shopping in Lower Johnson Street

To get to LoJo from Yates Street go down Waddington Alley past Victoria’s favorite Italian Restaurant and BC’s oldest continuously operating bakery.

Waling AlleyLower Johnson is characterized by colorful heritage buildings lining both sides of the street. The 19th century was a period of great growth in Victoria and the gold rushes of 1858 and 1897 created a huge boom in immigration and the building of hotels, stores and the E&N railway in Old Town.
